JEREMY CORBYN LABOUR PARTY LEADER read his plans for the benefit of the Labour Party, Britain and its people at the end of this blog |
At the beginning the party gained
three seats in Parliament. Keir Hardie formed in the following year the
Independent Labour Party. They believed in pacifism, socialism and in the
interest of workers.
1900 the Labour Representative Committee was formed.
In 1906, under Hardie, they won 29 seats in the
general election. The name was then changed to Labour Party and in 1918 the
members adopted a constitution put together by Sydney Webb and Arthur
Henderson.
1920 their membership was over 4 million and was one
of the major parties. Till such time the Liberals were the main opposition
party to the Conservatives but Labour ousted them by 1922.
1923 and 1929 Liberals and Labour Party were more or
less at the same level in the general election. Labour had its major break
through in 1945 under Clement Attlee when they gained the overall majority in
that general election. Attlee established the WELFARE STATE and nationalised
British industries under his leadership

Labour lost the 1951 general election. Looking back
it was most surprising after what Attlee achieved for the British people.
Labour won again in 1964 and was in power till 1970 under Harold Wilson. Again
from 1974 till 1979 under Wilson and then James Callaghan. Harold Wilson was the first politician refusing to get involved with the USA war in Vietnam.
HAROLD WILSON LABOUR LEADER |
1979 saw due increasingly left-wing policies many
party’s leader leaving and formed the Social Democratic Party in 1981.
1983 Neil Kinnock became leader of the Labour Party
and eliminated many radical policies in order to win votes. It did not bring the
required result and Labour lost the election. Neil Kinnock resigned.
John Smith became the next leader but suffered a
heart attack after two years. Even today he is regarded as a great leader and Labour and politics would have been different today had he lived.
JOHN SMITH |
Tony Blair followed as their leader and he
alienated the left-wingers by changing the party’s constitution. One of it was
the ‘block vote’ which added weight on internal decision and in favour of the
trade union. All these changes pushed the party more central. He named it the
“New Labour”.
However, in retrospect it made the Labour Party more
alike the Conservative Party and in view it lost a lot of its original
principles. Many MPs and voters
demanding to move the Party back to its old constitution.
At the moment with David Cameron constantly
contradicting himself in his speeches as well as actions and the Labour not
showing the full power as an opposition it all became a very weak politic. The
Labour Party and also the Trade Union used to show their full power before, yes
some times a bit too much, but it was nevertheless there to back the workers.
Margaret Thatcher who used draconian rules to achieve it she closed down major
British industries or privatise; the Unions lost some power. Now the
Government is doing anything and everything they like which is not democracy.
Ed Miliband the new leader of the Labour Party opposed the military attack on Syria planned by the USA and PM David Cameron. On account of vote it was defeated in the House of Commons. David Cameron had to change his plans. In the present Labour party Conference Mr Miliband promised 200,000 houses to be built every year for five years if he get elected. Cancel the dreaded Empty Bedroom Tax, increase again the Child Care which the Conservative cut down and freeze the Energy Suppliers' prices. Already the opinion poll shows higher rating than the Conservatives.
Ed Miliband resigned after the lost General Election in May, 2015 but Labour lost the election because of smears and lies by the Conservatives Party. Even after being brought down by austerity introduced by the Conservatives the electorate still believed it

Mr Corbyn was born on 26 May, 1949 in Chittenham, Wiltshire.
He won the Labour Leadership election on 12 September, 2015. Here is the plans he has for the Party.
As a self-described democratic socialist, Corbyn has advocated the re-nationalisation of public utilities and railways, re-opening coal mines, combating corporate tax evasion and avoidance as an alternative to austerity, abolishing university tuition fees and restoring student grants, an unilateral policy of nuclear disarmament and cancellation of the Trident nuclear weapons programme, quantitative easing to fund infrastructure and renewable energy projects, and reversing cuts to the public sector and welfare made since 2010 by the government of David Cameron. He is also a member of the Socialist Campaign Group, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Amnesty International, the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and the National Chair of the Stop the War Coalition. (Wikipedia)
It is a very good and tall order and would benefit the country and its people greatly. It would also bring back the Labour Party to its original policy and achieved over 600.000 members.
Again Conservatives run a smears and lies campaign of Jeremy Corbyn being anti-Semitic which he is anything but, he lost GE19 by a coup of false vote counting and resigned.
The new leader Sir Keir Starmer chosen by BOD brought the Labour Party to the Right, cancelled many long term hard working Labour Members including Jeremy Corbyn plus withdrew his Whip.
Starmer is a top Lawyer and joined the Labour Party 5 years ago; he knighted, signed 10 BOD Rules and made Labour Leader.
